About Me

Winston Waldemayer III

A non-published writer. Accomplished career in Electronics and Manufacturing, born in Atlanta, Ga in 1970. Completed my degree in Accounting/Finance in 2000. I started this blog thinking it would be an interesting way to get my thoughts down on something other than paper.

Christianity is the main focus here. A humble way of expressing my testimony and thoughts concerning the greatest gift any man or woman can ever receive, a gift of salvation from God through his son Jesus Christ. You will find some reviews on bibles and journals here and some links of interest.

E - Sword

the-holy-bible-close-up1.jpgE - Sword is one of the most awesome tools I own. It is a bible software package that actually came free with a large Strong's Concordance Edition that I bought. Once loaded on your computer, you can go to the website and get updates and additional modules. It offers every translation of the bible via download. Some do cost money but not many. Everything else is mostly free to download.

I currently have the ESV, KJV, NKJV, and a host of other translations available at the click of a mouse. I can search through any translation I want using the keyword search and go from book to book very quickly. It even has a feature for comparing one version of scripture with another version. There is a place for study notes which is a nice feature and you can even copy and paste scripture into the study notes from any translation and also copy and paste any scripture into Word or Excel type documents.

It offers a one year reading plan or you can customize your own reading plan. I just simply love E - Sword. It is a free application and worth having on your computer if you are an avid bible reader like myself. You can get your free download from: http://www.e-sword.net

Rick Meyers, who came up with the whole thing has done an amazing job with the presentation of this software. If you know anything about MS Word or Excel, you will be able to use this program with no problem. Very user friendly with a host of features. There is even downloadable commentaries, dictionaries, and different concordances.  There is even a graphics viewer for maps and early church art work. Must have my E-Sword, no other software will do.  This is an example page showing the parallel/comparison tool page.parallel.gif
