I stumbled onto this EP on Itunes. He also has a full length album out called Love Never Fails. I now own them both. He is fresh new talent with a great soulful and unique voice. His songs are mostly worship oriented. One of the best highlights of this EP is Blessed Assurance. He takes this song, which is an old Hymn, and makes it new and soulful. I was hooked on the first listen.

I believe that Chris McClarney is the next big thing to hit Christian Music. Considering how many new bands and performers are out there right now, I would have to say (IMHO) that he is the best I have heard in a long, long time. Just awesome.

These guys have more than great potential. Song writing and good music that really excites. I love every song on the album. For a new up and coming band, it is an impressive and serious debut. "I Need You" is my highlight song on the album. It is very soulful and the lead singer's (Daniel Doss) voice really shines in this one. I also (even though I like them all) take a special liking to "Lord Reign", "Sing Your Name", and "Abba Father". All in all, it is a great CD. I am gonna wear this CD out too. These guys should certainly win some kind of Dove Award this year. I already can't wait for their next release.

Review of Third Day's Revelations CD

Third Day's latest CD was released this year and I actually didn't buy it until a couple of months ago. It is a very good CD. One of their best. I wish they included a few more worship type songs but the songs are excellent nevertheless.

I like the song Revelation which is the title cut and I thought that Call My Name sounded a little too much like Cry to Jesus.

I also enjoyed the song Otherside and Let Me Love You. All around it is a great CD that I enjoy. It has a rock edge to it that I like but with Third Day's usual thoughtful lyrics. I own everything they have ever put out and I feel these guys always turn out an even better CD than the last. Of course, I love their worship CD (Offerings I,II, and Christmas Offerings) most of all!

Review of Shawn McDonald's Roots CD

Picked up this CD several weeks ago. It is Shawn McDonald's latest and greatest release. The title of the CD is Roots. It is certainly one of his best (in my humble opinion). I love the songs Clarity, Captivated, Wash Me Clean, Shadowlands, Light, Roots and Winter. It is a very contemporary and unique sound that he shows on this CD. I also notice some use of scripture in some of his songs as well. I could listen to this one over and over again and my wife can certainly tell you that I have.
